Champions league and Europe League finals - TV access

BT have announced how they will show the Champions League and Europa League finals free to air.
They will be available to watch on Freeview channel 59, on BT.com, on BTSport.com or via the BT Sport YouTube channel (youtube.com/btsportofficial).

I got a flyer through the post the other day... `Sky Sports... due to you being a LOYAL customer for over 20 years we are offering you SKY Sports for £20-00 a month for 60 Months"... thought that did not sound too bad but would ring them up to see if I could get it a bit cheaper and perhaps I would get it ... phoned up the number...
"I'm afraid you can't have that deal"
"but you sent us through a flyer saying I can..."
"I'm not sure we did as we would never offer a customer that deal..."
"Well I got the flyer still in my hand... want me to send it to you"
"Can you hold on the line as I need to speak to my supervisor"
* 5 mins later * "You can't have it as you have got a £5-00 discount on your basic package... but if you give up that discount we will honour the flyer"

Must confess I've only seen some of the highlights this year as I refused to pay 19 odd quid a month just for Champions League games I might have watched. Ended up with BT Sport Lite just to see West Ham in the EPL but I'm dumping both that and Sky Sports as soon as the football season ends.

I haven't seen any figures but the demise of Man Utd may have affected any viewing figures.

Not now its on BT Sport it doesn't. UEFA have already said it was a mistake selling to them.

I can understand them giving the final away free as its 2 Spanish teams in an attempt to get people watching the channels but why would you then sign up to BT at the end of May?
Do they have anything outside of football that would keep people watching over the summer likes Sky's cricket?
